Lightware’s TPN ecosystem powers smarter networks and streamlines deployment for integrators
We are reinforcing our commitment to simplifying complex AV environments with the continued evolution of our TPN ecosystem.
We are reinforcing our commitment to simplifying complex AV environments with the continued evolution of our TPN ecosystem. The scalable AV-over-IP platform gives integrators and organizations the power to achieve flexible, reliable AV infrastructure, meeting the demands of modern meeting environments. The latest addition to the ecosystem, the TPN MMU (Matrix Management Unit), further enhances the platform’s capabilities by providing centralized control of devices across the network.
Lightware’s TPN ecosystem combines Taurus TPN, HDMI-TPN and HDMI-OPTN endpoints into a 10GbE SDVoE-based AV-over-IP architecture designed for uncompressed signal distribution over standard enterprise network infrastructure, where the MMU acts as the central management layer for discovery, configuration, and system-wide switching control.
“Integrators need solutions that reduce complexity, not add to it. The TPN ecosystem is designed to make AV-over-IP deployments more intuitive, scalable, and manageable, whether in a single meeting space or across an entire campus.”
Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware

The TPN portfolio consists of a range of transmitters and receivers designed to deliver high-performance video, audio and control over standard IP networks. HDMI-embedded audio can be de-embedded at the endpoint level and routed as Dante audio streams over the same IP infrastructure, enabling seamless integration with professional audio networks.
Additionally, the system supports USB & KVM over IP, allowing keyboards, mice, and other USB devices to be extended across the network, enabling flexible routing and AV-over-IP deployments. Within the TPN ecosystem, environments such as live events and conferences benefit from SDVoE’s uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 transport, ultra-low latency, and frame-accurate, near-instant source switching across the network.
IT teams also gain confidence through secure system operation with protected access and configuration control. From small installations to large AV networks, the TPN ecosystem scales to meet the needs of enterprises of any size.
Complementing the portfolio is the new TPN MMU, the latest evolution in the ecosystem. The MMU automatically discovers TPN and OPTN devices across a 10GbE SDVoE network, building a topology map that provides full system visibility from a single interface. The MMU operates as a centralized orchestration layer, abstracting endpoint-level switching into a virtual matrix environment while leveraging SDVoE’s distributed switching architecture. This approach maintains the performance advantages of distributed AV-over-IP systems while introducing simplified system-wide control and management, without compromising bandwidth, latency or signal integrity.
The TPN ecosystem incorporates enterprise-grade security across both network and management planes. Physical separation of AV and management networks, support for 802.1X authentication, and manual certificate management enable secure integration into corporate infrastructures. All management communication is protected through HTTPS, secure WebSocket (WSS) and encrypted REST API access, while port-level service control allows administrators to restrict unused network services. SNMPv3 monitoring and remote syslog logging further support secure operational oversight and compliance policies.
By streamlining system oversight and reducing operational complexity, the TPN MMU simplifies day-to-day management whilst supporting reliable long-term performance. “We are giving AV professionals a powerful new way to optimise networked AV systems at scale.
- adds Vida.
The TPN ecosystem extends the capabilities of Lightware’s Taurus collaboration solutions by connecting room-level USB-C switching and control to an AV-over-IP backbone, enabling smooth signal distribution, potentially across several spaces, introducing flexible options for sub-divisible workspaces, for example.
Instead of deploying standalone room devices, separate AV-over-IP systems, and different management tools, Lightware’s unified approach strengthens deployment for integrators, improves system visibility for IT teams, and ensures scalable, AV infrastructure.
For integrators, TPN reduces installation time and simplifies configuration while maintaining predictable performance across projects. For end users, it delivers reliable, centrally managed AV environments that can evolve alongside organisational needs.
By combining intelligent signal management with centralized control and monitoring, Lightware’s TPN ecosystem provides a smart, efficient approach to AV-over-IP infrastructure.
