With Taurus TPN we can create an ecosystem of devices that are networked – it just doesn’t matter how many devices exactly: we can send signals and data anywhere we want.
Scalable system
The Taurus TPN supports various resolutions, and both the system and its outputs are scalable.
Open API
Provides open, intuitive API protocols, enhancing networked solutions with seamless native USB 2.0 integration.

Flexible Room Workflows Over 10G
Taurus TPN endpoints bring flexible signal access and collaboration workflows to meeting rooms by combining UCX-TPN transmitters at user desks with HDMI-TPN receivers at displays, carrying video, USB-C, USB 2.0, and LAN signals over a shared 10G AV-over-IP network. This enables seamless BYOD, BYOM, and peripheral sharing within the room without dedicated point-to-point cabling.
With the MMU in place, these endpoints are discovered and managed as a single room system. The MMU applies consistent settings and enables fast routing between laptops, room PCs, displays, and USB peripherals, allowing common room scenarios shown in the diagram to be handled centrally, without reconfiguring individual devices.
USB-C meets 10G AV-over-IP
Full-featured USB-C room workflows combined with SDVoE-based 10G transport, built for modern collaboration and flexible signal access.
Bidirectional USB over the network
Send AV to the network and receive USB back, ideal for peripheral sharing and room-to-room workflows without local PC constraints.
Multi-input room switching
Mix USB-C and HDMI sources in the room and deliver them as a single TPN stream, clean, consistent system design for integrators.
Seamless switching & scaling ready
SR receiver options add fast switching and scaling, helping you standardize outputs across mixed displays and room types.
USB 2.0 extender integration
USB2.0 device-side extenders can be integrated into the TPN system, expanding peripheral connectivity where it’s needed.
Room automation with LARA
Add advanced control and automation via the TPN-MMU-X100-20 running LARA, turn endpoints into a managed, operational room system.
Simplify Room Automation with LARA
Lightware Advanced Room Automation: Configure and automate meeting spaces, no programming skills required, and coding is optional too.

Unify All TPN Endpoints into One AV-over‑IP System
The Matrix Management Unit (MMU) connects the different TPN endpoint families into a single, coherent AV-over-IP system. With the MMU in place, Taurus TPN, HDMI-TPN, and OPTN endpoints work together on the same SDVoE network, rather than operating as separate, isolated device groups.
The MMU provides one interface to discover devices, apply system-wide settings, and perform SDVoE video switching across mixed endpoint types. This allows systems to be designed and operated as one unified platform-simplifying commissioning and ensuring consistent, predictable real-time AV operation across the entire deployment.

Centralized system visibility
All connected TPN and OPTN endpoints are automatically discovered and presented in one structured overview, making complex systems easier to understand, document, and maintain.
Consistent configuration at scale
Key system settings can be prepared and applied centrally, ensuring consistent behavior across rooms and reducing setup time during commissioning and system changes.
Integrated SDVoE video switching
With the MMU in place, a standard 10G network becomes a virtual matrix, enabling deterministic, low-latency SDVoE video routing without external controllers or custom logic.
Designed for integrators and IT environments
By adding structure, transparency, and a clear management layer, the MMU helps AV-over-IP systems align more naturally with IT-managed networks and operational workflows.
Validated 10G Networking
TPN systems are built on SDVoE technology, where network quality directly defines AV performance. Through its collaboration with NETGEAR, Lightware delivers pre-validated 10G AV Line switching solutions tailored for TPN environments. By combining Lightware’s AV system expertise with NETGEAR’s AV-optimized networking platform, the solution ensures tested interoperability, stable multicast handling, and deterministic real-time performance across all TPN endpoints, enabling TPN systems to operate as a reliable virtual matrix over standard 10G infrastructure, while reducing deployment risk and accelerating commissioning.
Lightware’s Full Featured USB-C Cables
USB-C technology was designed to make signal transmission more convenient and provide users with unprecedented speeds, easy connectivity and useful features.
